Steve Thompson


President



Steve began Thompson Auctioneers, Inc. in 1982 and has become well-known throughout the Machinery and Equipment Industry. Clients include bankers, bankruptcy trustees, machinery dealers and financial institutions. Steve is a member of the Industrial Auctioneer’s Association (IAA), Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA), the Ohio Auctioneers’ Association (OAA), the National Auctioneer’s Association (NAA), and the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA).

Bryan Harvey


Vice President/Business Development



Bryan has been active in the Machine Tool and Auction Industry for 23 years. During this time, Bryan has negotiated the sale and purchase of thousands of machine tools, has liquidated numerous industrial facilities, and has coordinated auction sales for many Fortune 500 companies and financial institutions. As a Certified Appraiser, Bryan is active in the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA), as well as the Machinery Dealer’s National Association (MDNA).

Kent Jones


Sales/Project Manager


Kent has over 20 years of experience in Industrial Sales/Account Management, and is responsible for Auction Sales and Asset Recovery Programs. Kent works with Banks, Asset Based Lenders, Financial Institutions, Receivers, Turnaround Firms and Wind-Down Consultants. Kent is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), Tri State Association for Corporate Renewal (TACR) and the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (EFLA).

We often cooperate with Machinery dealers to conduct auctions of surplus assets. We have assisted with liquidating large quantities of machinery, and in-turn, they have helped us find buyers for hard to sell machines.
